The Turkish army begins construction of a new military base in the Syrian province of Raqqa, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in Syria informed on November 20.
“Turkish troops have started building a new military base in Saida village, north of Ain Issa in the northern province of Raqqa,” the source said. The base will be located in close proximity to the M4 international highway that crosses the province from west to east.
The majority of Turkish bases in Syria is in the militants’ captured Idlib province and its neighboring province Aleppo. In total, there are about 50 Turkish strongholds there.
