Expert: Aliyev has fallen into the trap of Erdogan, having started the war in Nagorno-Karabakh

21.10.2020, Stepanakert.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev fell into a trap set by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the latter fell victim to his own stupid imagination, former press secretary of Nagorno-Karabakh (NKR) Defense Ministry Senor Asratyan wrote on October 21 on his Facebook page.

Asratyan made this conclusion after analyzing the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, where, in his opinion, Armenia is quietly but steadily building up its military potential that will soon have an impact on the conflict.

The former press secretary for the NKR Defense Ministry noted that Armenian servicemen are gradually adapting to the new-generation military conflict.

“It is noticeable not only in the northern, northeastern, eastern and southeastern parts of the 200-kilometer front line, where the enemy has been making desperate attempts to break through the defense of Armenian forces for several weeks without success, but also by the changing operational situation in the battle zone from Gadrut to Araks,” the expert said.

Asratyan believes that in the current situation in Karabakh time is playing against Azerbaijan, as “day by day not only the number of militants (which are the main offensive forces of the enemy) hired by the Azerbaijani-Turkish criminal leadership is decreasing, but also the number of weapons and a variety of military equipment purchased for billions of oil dollars diminishes.”

On October 21 Armenian Foreign Minister Zograb Mnatsakanyan flew to Moscow. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also flew to Russia to discuss the situation in the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh and the issue of implementing the ceasefire agreement with the Russian Foreign Minister.

According to unconfirmed information, one of the topics to be discussed by the Foreign Ministers was to prepare a meeting between the Armenian Prime Minister and the Azerbaijani President.
