Lukashenko: Radicals clearly need sacred sacrifice in Belarus

09.10.2020, Minsk.

Foreign forces have not abandoned attempts to “blow up” the situation in Belarus, the President of the Republic Aleksandr Lukashenko said, Sputnik Belarus reported on October 9.

According to the Belarusian leader, a color revolution scenario has been blocked in his country, and “we control the situation on the whole.” However, one must have no illusion that “they abandoned their attempts to blow up the situation in the country.”

“Either these destructive forces have turned to a wait-and-see approach, or this is another stage of the color revolution,” Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader also noted that the security forces have become accustomed to street protests. And they do not take them seriously any longer.

“However, this is a technology, too, aiming not only at putting us off our guard, but also at using new radical forms of protests,” Lukashenko believes.

Protesters now show more radicalism in their activity. Radicals “are trying to involve young people, bystanders, and children in the provocation,” because “they have no one else to hide behind, and wee see then in the open.”

“They clearly need blood and a sacred sacrifice,” the president concluded.
