Azerbaijani armed forces launched a new missile strike against the capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Stepanakert on October 9, Armenian Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on Facebook.
“Stepanakert was struck again with a missile strike,” Hovhannisyan wrote.
The military escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh began on September 27. On the same day, Azerbaijani artillery fired on Stepanakert.
Azerbaijan launched an offensive to take control of Karabakh’s territory, calling the operation “counteroffensive”. The NKR army is trying to keep the line of contact in the 1994 configuration.
