Karabakh Foreign Ministry: Azerbaijan again strikes civilian objects in Stepanakert

Azerbaijan again strikes with rockets the residential areas of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) capital, the Foreign Ministry of the republic informed on October 7.

The published photos show the results of the night strike against residential areas of Artsakh capital. A missile exploded in one of the yards destroying residential buildings around.

“Right now, the Azerbaijani armed forces struck Stepanakert again, civilian objects were attacked by ‘kamikaze’ drones and missiles. There is no yet information about injured people,” the Foreign Ministry said.

According to the reports of journalists in Stepanakert, as a result of strike plumes of smoke are observed all over the city.

There is no information about victims.

Since September 27, fierce combats are underway on the border of Azerbaijan and Artsakh. The opposing countries use heavy weapons, military aviation, artillery, and multiple rocket launchers during the battles.

Azerbaijan regularly strikes against villages and towns and civil infrastructure of Artsakh; in this connection Armenia applied to the European Court of Human Rights.

The ECHR issued a decision in which it called on the warring parties to renounce the use of multiple rocket launchers in situations where civilians could be harmed, but Azerbaijan continued shelling cities with cluster munitions.
