Ukrainian army shells DPR twice near Gorlovka

The Ukranian army violated the ceasefire twice over 24 hours at the contact line in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the representative of the DPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire reported on October 1.

Reportedly, the units of the Ukrainian army shelled the village of Dolomitnoye and the Mines 6/7 in Gorlovka using various grenade launchers. Observers reported two explosions at the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Zaytsevo (the northern part) and Novotroitskoye.

At 6:46 pm (Moscow time zone) the observers reported shelling of the village of Dolomitnoye by the servicemen of the 24th Brigade of the Ukrainian army in the village of Novologansloye who fired one grenade from a GP-25 under-barrel grenade launcher.

At 7:25 pm (Moscow time zone) the servicemen of the 35th Brigade of the Ukrainian navy shelled the village of the 6/7 Mine in Gorlovka with one grenade fired from an RPG-7 grenade launcher.

According to the report, no one was injured by the Ukrainian shelling among the civilians or People’s Militia servicemen in the villages.

The 24th and the 25th Brigades are part of the “Sever” (North) Task Force whose units were responsible for five incidents of shelling of the villages of the Lugansk People’s Republic on September 30.

On September 29, the observers reported three violations of ceasefire by the Ukrainian army. The Ukrainian military shelled the villages of Leninskoye and Mines 6/7 in Gorlovka.
