NATO strategic aircraft is actively carrying out military exercises near Russian borders, said the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, RT informs on September 26.
“In the last month, we observed flights of around 30 NATO strategic aircraftnear our borders. It happened in the Black and Baltic seas’ water area, as well as in the Artic Ocean and in the East of our country. They pass near our borders, work on some exercises,” said Gerasimov.
According to the Chief of the General Staff, Russia has proposed not once to the NATO leadership to precise existing agreements on preventing dangerous military activities in the air and at sea, but all these proposals have received no answer.
On September 25, 2020, a Russian fighter jet Su-27 intercepted two American B-52H strategic bombers in the sky above the Baltic sea’s neutral waters.
