What are we offering to the world? Kurginyan names issues facing Russia

19.09.2020, Moscow.

Russia must decide what its goals are and what strategy for the future it is willing to choose for itself and to offer to the whole world, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan on September 16 on the air of the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on Russia One channel.

The situation unfolding in Belarus after the presidential elections was the topic of discussion in the TV studio. During the conversation, Kurginyan mentioned the global context in which the Belarusian political crisis is unfolding.

Tension between China and the US is growing and it may lead to a military conflict, reminded the political scientist. “We are at a situation where a conflict has not started only because nuclear weapons are present, and the fact that certain madmen are not yet prepared to use them,” said Kurginyan.

Moreover, the idea that a nuclear war is not at all as dangerous as previously thought is gradually being suggested.

Where did the expression ’clean nuclear weapons’ come from in the language of the US military industrial complex?” “These bombs are clean. They are thermonuclear.” And, supposedly, there are already some iron rods positioned in space. They will be able to scorch as much as nuclear bombs, but without radiation,” said Kurginyan.

The West portrays not only China as an enemy, Russia too. Moreover, the purposeful demonization of our country is taking place at almost an official level.

“Sometimes we just don’t inform our society enough in regards to certain documents. For example, with some of Pompeo’s speeches, with actual documents regarding the National Defense Strategy, new documents which refer to Russia as an enemy,” said Kurginyan.

The West does not even bother to provide any evidence and sticks to unfounded accusations when it accuses its opponents of committing crimes, reminded the political scientist. This is self-evident in the case of an opposition leader Alexei Navalny, whom Russian authorities allegedly attempted to poison. This can be seen in the case of ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who, contrary to the actual election results, was recognized in the West as the head of state.

This makes you search for answers to many questions, some of which are directly related to Belarus, “How should the world work? How can we counter this comprehensively? Can Belarus counter this alone? HowdoesthisBelarusdefineitsfuture? “

Russia must also be prepared to respond to new challenges.

Are we ready, after this situation with Navalny, for the situation to banally develop in such a way that we are demonized so much (based on nothing, with absolute arrogance) that then they start talking about ‘Should this country even be a member of the Security Council?’” asks Kurginyan.

The political scientist then listed questions that will inevitably come before the international community, “How shall the world be divided? Will the UN continue to exist as such in this world? Or, will we return to the situation of the League of Nations and the Triple Alliance? Are we prepared to maintain this mutual balance?”

In conclusion, the political scientist voiced the most important question that Russia should answer, “What are we offering to the world, if we want to compete? What do we propose as a strategy for the further development of life? We have always followed the main trend. Are we going to continue to follow, or not?”
