The street protests in Belarus can only escalate into a bloody phase if Lukashenko’s opponents deploy trained militants to the country, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on September 15 on the air of the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.
Supporters of a coup d’etat in Belarus have already established training camps. However, unlike the Ukrainian president, Lukashenko has proven to be a courageous man. “He is not a coward, and this has made a difference. Heiscapable,” Kurginyan said.
An important factor of the armed coup d’etat in Ukraine were the Bandera Nazis, the expert reminded. “Whatever treacherous thugs they [the Bandera Nazis] were, they were ready to kill and to die, and they had done this for decades. This bloody core group was prepared for this, and they were available,” the political scientist explained.
The attempt to repeat the Ukrainian experience of armed coup d’etat through street protests in Belarus ran out of time and failed. “To accomplish this, to escalate it into a bloody phase, they have to deploy a contingent. And I know for sure who is responsible for this. Everything is under contract with Polish intelligence. Definitely, all the command and control is located in one building,” the leader of Essence of Time said.
“If they deploy these core groups, all the Ukrainian events will look like child’s play,” Kurginyan concluded.
Ukrainian officials support Lukashenko’s opponents after the presidential elections in Belarus. The president of Ukraine called upon Minsk to enter “dialogue with the people.” On September 4 the members of the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament), including the members of the Servant of the People party, came to a parliament session with white-red-white flags, which Belarusian Nazis used during the Great Patriotic War.
