The video, showing the consequences of the massacre by Ukrainian nationalists over the defenders of the Trade Unions House in Odessa, was removed from YouTube video hosting servers with the wording “for violations of the terms of use” on September 10, said the author of the video – American analyst Jareth Copus in an interview to a Rossa Primavera News Agency correspondent.
The massacre of unarmed people was mentioned in the context of open support of the current riots in Belarus by US non-governmental organizations, including the Atlantic Council.
In his video, the American journalist mentioned an article published on the Atlantic Council’s official website, authored by Vladislav Davidzon and entitled “The Belarus revolution may be too velvet to succeed“.
In the article, among other things, Vladislav Davidzon complains that among the protesters in Minsk there are no “rough and stalwart young men capable of making liberals uncomfortable or leading the resistance if and when the authoritarian state decides to deploy force,” unlike the Maidan in Kiev back in 2014.
In this context, the American decided to remind his audience of the actions of such “rough and stalwart young men” in Odessa, who decided to burn alive the people that opposed the coup in Kiev. However, YouTube deleted the video, calling it “offensive“.
“Well, I expected something like that, but of course not so soon,” Copus admitted.
Now a new version of the analytical program is posted on the YouTube, in which the frames of the massacre by nationalists over peaceful Odessa residents are replaced by a text explanation – “The only reason for sharing this clip was to prevent more deaths and pain, like what now plagues Ukraine. Please take time to look these images up since I’m not allowed to show you.“
