Stay alert ― Lukashenko speaks about threat Belarusian protests pose to Russia

08.09.2020, Minsk.

Failure of the Belarusian authorities would be a threat to Russia, the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said, RT reported on September 8.

In an interview to Russian media the leader noted that Russia may face disorders like those that took place in Belarus after the presidential elections.

“Stay alert. You can also face certain political events, maybe out of a clear sky,” Lukashenko believes.

According to the president, a coup d’etat in Belarus would be a threat to Russia.

“You know what conclusion we made together with the Russian establishment and leaders? If Belarus fails today, Russia will be next,” Lukashenko stressed.
