Putin speaks about what could have destroyed Soviet people

02.09.2020, Moscow.

A total extermination of the Soviet people could have taken place had the soviet people surrendered their cities without fighting for them, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said on September 1 at an all-Russian open lesson.

This year, the lesson was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Putin condemned collaborationists and those who rewrite Russian history.

According to Putin, the statement that many lives could have been saved if the Russian soldiers had surrendered their cities without resistance is a lie. This would have resulted in a defeat in the Great Patriotic War, he reminded.

“This would have resulted in total extermination of almost all the nations of the former Soviet Union and the contemporary Russian Federation,” the president believes.
