26.08.2020, Donetsk.

The Ukrainian army violated three times over 24 hours the conditions of the additional measures for control of ceasefire at the contact line in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR representative at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire (JCCC) reported on August 26.

According to the report, the observers reported that ceasefire maintained for 24 hours on August 25. The Ukrainian military made three violations of the additional measures: they performed construction works and they launched a drone.

At 07.10 (Moscow time zone) the observers saw an explosion near the Zhovanka village. At 10.55 the Ukrainian military were building fortifications, and they activated two entrenchment charges near the village of Shumy. At 12.20 near the Vodyanoye village the Ukrainian military launched a drone for the reconnaissance of the DPR People’s Militia positions.

On August 24, the observers reported five violations of the additional control measures by the Ukrainian military. The ceasefire regime is effective since August 20. On August 19, the Ukrainian army fired one RPG-7 grenade against the Gagarin Mine in Gorlovka.

The additional measures are effective since July 27, 2020, and they demand that every incident with opening fire must be openly investigated, but the Ukrainian army commanders have not published any investigations.

The Ukrainian army observes only part of the additional measures, because building fortifications and launching drones are explicitly prohibited in the document along with opening fire.
