Russia registers two violations of ceasefire in Syria over 24 hours

The Russian side in the joint Russian-Turkish commission for ceasefire monitoring in Syria registered two violations within 24 hours according to an information bulletin published on the Russian Defense Ministry’s website on August 21.

It is reported that two cases of shooting were register in Aleppo province.

The Turkish side did not register any violation of ceasefire in the past 24 hours.

The Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in the Syrian Arab Republic carried out two humanitarian actions – two batches of 440 food packages each were delivered to the settlements of Qasr el-Brij (Aleppo province) and Tell Tartab (Haseke province).

Since March 6 2020, ceasefire was established in the Idlib de-escalation zone. The guarantors of the agreement are Russia and Turkey.
