Zakharova calls the detention of 33 Russian citizens a provocation by third country

The detention of 33 Russian citizens in Minsk is a provocation by third state, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on August 8 during All-Russian youth educational forum Territory of meanings.

Zakharova reminded that the situation around the detention of Russian citizens has been exciting the information space for a week. The spokeswoman noted that the stay of Russian citizens in Minsk was presented as a Russian special operation aiming to destabilize the neighbour country.

According to Zakharova, for the present the facts suggest that this whole story is a provocation by third state.
