DPR: Ukraine launches a campaign to destabilize the ceasefire

27.07.2020, Donetsk.

Ukraine actively pursues the policy of destabilizing the situation on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the DPR representative office to the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Monitoring and Coordination (JCCС) said on 27 July, as reported on the official website of the agency.

“Representatives of official Kiev continue to exacerbate the situation and announce new made-up violations of the ceasefire,” the statement reads. The JCCC is confident that the provocative statements are being made against the background of a ceasefire fully observed by the DPR.

We are talking, in particular, about the shelling of Leninskoye village (renamed to Yuzhnoye in Ukraine) on the Gorlovka direction. The JCCC notes that at the specified time the pipeline previously damaged by artillery fire conducted by the Ukrainian army have been repaired.

At the same time, the patrols of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) were present at the site of the non-existent shelling. Representatives of the international organization registered the fact of ceasefire, the DPR representative office stressed.

The purpose of provocations on the part of the Ukrainian side may become a real violation of ceasefire agreements by the Ukrainian army, the JCCC office noted.

Since July 27, 2020, a complete ceasefire, ban on deployment of troops in villages, offensive and subversive actions was introduced in Donbass.
