06.07.2020, Kiev.

Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko recognized the fact of approval of his appointment to the post of Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He stated this on 6 July on the air of the TSN broadcast on 1+1 TV Channel.

Yuriy Lutsenko commented on the “audio recordings made public by Derkach”, in which the negotiations on his appointment were conducted with voices similar to those of former US Vice President Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko.

The former Prosecutor General said that he did not see anything wrong in this. According to him, his candidacy was approved on conditions that certain reforms would be implemented.

“Of course, our partners put forward certain conditions regarding the implementation of reforms. And that is what we hear about in detail,” Lutsenko said.

Lutsenko’s comment on Derkach audion recordings, as well as recognition of the fact that his appointment has been agreed upon, says that the former Prosecutor General confirms that they are genuine. Moreover, he acknowledges the external management of Ukraine.
