Ukrainian punitive forces injure LPR resident

A resident of Golubovskoye village was wounded to the head by shrapnel as a result of hit by a mortar shell fired by the Ukrainian military, the press service of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) informed on July 3.

The message reads that a resident of the village Golubovskoye, who lived on Shirokaya Street 21, received a shrapnel wound to the head in the yard of her house. The 53-years old woman was immediately taken to a medical facility; her life was not in danger.

It is also reported that the 93rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire using mortars from the positions near the village of Novotoshkovskoye. From these positions, 120-mm mortar shells were fired on Berezovskoye village.

In Berezovskoye, two residential buildings on Kirov Street, houses 34 and 35, were damaged by mortar shells. The information about damages of residential buildings is being specified.

The soldiers of the LPR People’s Militia retaliated the enemy’s actions. “Due to the adequate actions of our defenders, the mortar crew. According to preliminary data, the enemy’s suffered casualties: two dead, one wounded; 120mm mortar was destroyed,” specified in the press service.

On June 3, 2020, the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination observers informed that there was only shelling om that day. The village of Golubovskoye was shelled from the positions of the 93rd Brigade of the Ukrainian army near the village of Novotoshkovskoye.

The Ukrainian military shelled Golubovskoye village with large-calibre machine guns, three residential buildings in the village were damaged.
