Kurginyan: Ukraine discusses its problems like a colony

02.06.2020, Moscow.

The discussion of Ukraine’s problems is colonial in nature, when the participants in the discussion avoid the main topic, said political scientist, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on the program Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on the Russia One TV channel on May 31.

Sergey Kurginyan stressed that the discussion on the problems around Donbass in Ukraine follows a double standard. Villainy and pettiness constantly emanate from you [Ukraine]. You bomb and shell the region, and then you say what a pitty it is that it lives so badly. It is like beating a person and then saying, ‘you poor thing, look at your bruises,  Kurginyan said.

“This is an extreme degree of dishonesty,” the political scientist summed it up.

He noted that the way Ukrainian political scientists have lamented the difficult situation in Donbass which is similar to the way fascists would have discussed the grave situation in the besieged Leningrad. “One could say: look, this Leningrad has decided to be part of the USSR … the Germans completely surrounded it, look how badly they (Leningrad’s inhabitants) live,” the political scientist compared.

Kurginyan noted that Ukraine would have liked to force its Nazi option on Donbass, but it “does not have the guts”. “You would have done it, you would have liked to make the residents of Crimea starve and everything else. And you would then discuss exactly how the fleas die. But you don’t have the guts, so you can’t,” Sergey Kurginyan said.
