Ukrainian armed group shelled the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) 14 times over the past week, an official representative of the LPR People’s Militia Yakov Osadchiy said during a briefing for journalists on May 22.
“The Ukrainian armed groups violated the ceasefire in total of 14 times over the week,” Osadchiy said.
The ministry’s representative said that the Ukrainian military attacked eight settlements on the territory of the republic. The enemy used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns, and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle main guns. The Ukrainian side fired over 390 rounds of ammunition.
Osadchiy mentioned certain destructions caused by the Ukrainian military. During the attack on the village of Berezovskoye, the Mikhailovka-Kommunarskaya high-voltage line transmitting electricity to the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant was damaged. Three houses were destroyed during the shelling of the village of Donetskoye.
During the week before last, the Ukrainian military attacked the LPR territory eight times.
