Leonid Pasechnik, the Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), posted his congratulations to the citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on May 11 on his Twitter.
“Today, the DPR celebrates the 6th anniversary of its establishment! We are united not only by the land of Donbass and centuries-old ties of friendship, but we are also united in the desire to live in a free state,” Pasechnik wrote.
He also noted that the DPR and LPR are “shoulder to shoulder” on the path to integration with Russia.
In conclusion, the LPR Head wished peace and prosperity to the Donetsk Republic.
On May 11, 2014, the DPR held a referendum in which the majority of citizens voted for the sovereignty of the republic.
