LPR head lays flowers at the Pillar of Glory

Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Leonid Pasechnik laid flowers at the Pillar of Glory and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial, reported Lugansk Information Center on May 9.

Lugansk residents and the LPR authorities attended the event dedicated to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Servicemen of the honor guard regiment of the People’s Police of the LPR People’s Militia laid a garland of Glory at the restored Pillar of Glory.

“I would like to congratulate everyone on the great Victory Day, because today is the anniversary date – 75 years since the Victory. I am very pleased that today, despite the coronavirus epidemic, people come out and take part,” said Leonid Pasechnik.

The head of the republic has wished health and wellbeing to the war veterans and assured that the memory of the departed heroes lives in the hearts of the republic’s residents. A three-volley salute was fired in memory of the fallen soldiers.

Honoring of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the Donbas Republics is held against the background of praise of Bandera and their servants in Ukraine.
