Nine internal security force personnel were killed as a result of an attack committed by unknown persons in the Deraa province, a Rossa Primavera News Agency source in Syria informs on May 4.
According to the source, an unknown terrorist group opened fire on them in the village of al-Musayrib.
The bodies were found at the Al-Ghabsh junction.
Al-Musayrib is located near the Syrian-Jordanian border, and it has a population of around 12,000 people.
Under the Ottoman Empire, it was the first major rest area during the pilgrimage (hajj) from Damascus to Mecca. The ruins of an ancient fort have been preserved in the centre of the village.
