02.05.2020, Baghdad.

Shiite political forces issued an ultimatum to Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Qadimi that the government include the withdrawal of US troops from the country in its program, reported Shafaaq News Agency referring to informed source on April 30.

If the amendments are not made, Shia parliamentarians will vote against Qadimi’s government during the parliamentary approval procedure specified by the Cabinet of Ministers, which will be held next week.

“The vast majority of Shiite political forces informed Qadimi on their critcism of the government’s program due to lack of a clear snap election date, as well as non-inclusion a special paragraph on the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq pursuant to the decision of the Iraqi Parliament,” the source said.

“The Shiite political forces informed Qadimi that they would not vote for his government in the absence of amendments to the program,” the source added.
