Ukrainian Army is accused of violating ceasefire in Donbass

Ukrainian militants violated ceasefire sixteen times during the past day, the press service of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) delegation in the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination informed on April 23.

The Ukrainian army opened fire on the settlements of Golmovskiy, Dolomitnoye, Spartak, the area of Volvo Center in Donetsk and the village near Trudovskaya mine, the settlements of Aleksandrovka, Staromikhaylovka, Petrovskoe, Sahanka.

The Ukrainian militants used 120 mm, 82 mm caliber mortars, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, recoilless anti-tank gun, small arms and sniper weapons. The total number of ammunition fired on the republic was 162.

As a result of the shelling of the Staromikhaylovka, window glass was damaged in two residential buildings. As a result of the shelling of Aleksandrovka, window glass was damaged in a school located at Lenina Street, 171. As a result of the shelling, the Ukrainian army’s militants also damaged an outbuilding located at Krasnaya Zvezda Street, 8 in the village of Trudovskaya mine, Donetsk.

There is no information on injured people casualties as a result of the shelling.

During the previous day, Ukrainian military fired 185 ammunition on the DPR territory.

From April 12 to April 20, the shelling of the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) by the Ukrainian army was not registered. However, on April 21, the Ukrainian military resumed shelling of the LPR territory.
