The then Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko took a bribe of $200 million for closing the criminal case against the Burisma Holdings, former employee of the Ukrainian embassy in the USA Andrey Telizhenko said on 16 April on the air of Svobodnyy internet channel.

The former diplomat said that the then Ukrainian President had received money from several sources through the financial structures of Igor Kononenko, the former first deputy chairman of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Solidarity.

“The final amount that Mr. Poroshenko received was $200 million for closing the case against Burisma,” Telizhenko said.

The United States Democratic Party used the request to the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to investigate the activity of the Burisma Holding from the US President Donald Trump as a pretext to start the impeachment proceedings.

The company of the former Ukrainian Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Nikolay Zlochevskyy exploited gas deposits and produced gas in Ukraine. The company’s board of directors included Hunter Biden, the son of Joseph Biden, a candidate of the Democratic Party for the presidential post.
