Russian Foreign Ministry: Ukraine is preparing a provocation in Crimea on May 3

19.03.2020, Moscow.

Ukraine is preparing a provocation in Crimea on May 3, the Spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on March 19.

“A new provocation is being prepared, some ‘March to Crimea,’ on May 3,” Zakharova said.

She explained that the organizers of the provocation from the “Majlis of the Crimean Tatar People” (organization banned in Russia) are planning to literally break into Crimea across the state border.

Moscow urged Kiev to refrain from this plan, Zakharova said.

Previously, the leader of the “Majlis of the Crimean Tatar People” (organization banned in Russia) Refat Chubarov said that his supporters were preparing to cross the Crimean border at the Chongar checkpoint in early May.
