The current situation in major companies should be monitored in order to maintain economic stability, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said on March 17, the president’s official website reports.
The transmission of the COVID-19 coronavirus has seriously affected the global economy. Vladimir Putin stressed that the country’s economic stability must be supported.
“Now we need considered steps to ensure economic stability and sustainability of the Russian enterprises and sectors. First of all this applies to transportation, logistics, and continuous supplies of foods and essential goods,” Vladimir Putin said.
He also stressed that a majority of people are in small and medium-sized business. Excessive inspections must be avoided, and businesses should receive assistance with their debt load.
