Syrian air defenses receive order to shoot down every aircraft violating their airspace

22.02.2020, Damascus.

The Syrian air defense received an order to shoot down any violator of their airspace, the agency SANA reports on February 22.

According to the order, if any aircraft violates the Syrian airspace, it will be considered as a combat target and therefore will be destroyed.

Any such violation will be regarded as aggression against Syria.

On February 20, Islamist groups attacked the Syrian positions in Idlib with the support of Turkey. The Syrian Army, backed by the Russian Aerospace Forces, succeed to halt this offensive.
