IRGC’ leadership claims its responsibility for the death of people in Iran’s sky

11.01.2020, Tehran.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ leadership claims responsibility for the death of people who were aboard a Ukrainian Boeing shot down by IRGC’s anti-aircraft warfare, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on January 11.

While commenting what happened, the General said, “When I heard about Ukrainian plane crash, I wish I had died instead of witnessing this tragedy”.

The IRGC claims its responsibility and is ready to fulfil any order of Iran’s leadership, the Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force said.

The tragedy took place on the morning of 8 January. Iran’s air-defence system shot down the Ukrainian Boeing mistaken for a US plane as the Iranian Army had previously attacked American bases in Iraq. All the people aboard died.
