Ex Rada member’s father personally fired on Berkut riot police at “maidan” – lawyer

The father of the ex Rada (the Ukrainian parliament ― Rossa Primavera News Agency) member Vladimir Parasyuk personally participated in firing on the Berkut riot police servicemen during the disorders in Kiev in 2014, the lawyer of the killed special forces servicemen Aleksandr Goroshinsky said on December 12, TASS reports.

He commented a video record of the interrogation of an active participant of the Kiev “maidan.” The lawyer noted that back in 2018 the Prosecutor’s office interrogated Dmitry Lipovoy, who confirmed that Parasyuk’s group was firing on the Berkut.

Goroshinsky added that this group was firing from the building of the Kiev Conservatory, on the “maidan” barricades, and then from the Ukraine hotel. After the interrogation, Lipovoy, who is a suspect in a case of firing on the police, left the country.

Vladimir Parasyuk was an active participant of the “maidan” in 2014. After the coup d’etat in Ukraine, he was elected Rada member as an unaffiliated candidate from the Lvov region.
