Ukrainian military opens fire on repair workers in the suburb of Gorlovka in DPR

The Ukrainian army opened fire on the suburb of Gorlovka, where repair workers were operating, RIA Novosti reports on November 27 citing the statement of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) representative in the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC).

According to the DPR representative, fire came from the village of Shumy. The enemy used 82-mm mortars and rocket-propelled grenade launchers during the shelling.

The Water Donbass Company’s employees carried out restoration work in the area where ammunition fired by Ukrainian military exploded. The time and location of restoration work were agreed with Kiev’s representatives, who provided the employees with security guarantees.

According to the DPR representative, no one was injured.

On July 21, 2019, the Contact Group on the implementation of the Minsk agreements reached an agreement on ceasefire at the contact line of the Ukrainian military groups and the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics defenders.

On October 1, 2019, during the negotiations in Minsk, the sides managed to agree on the separation of forces in several “pilot” sectors of the front.

On October 15, the leader of the Ukrainian “National Corps” (organization banned in Russia) Andrey Biletsky delivered an ultimatum to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, demanding to refuse from the disengagement of forces in Donbass.

According to the DPR representative in the JCCC, the Ukrainian army opened fire 9 times on the Donetsk People’s Republic during the past day.
