Czech Republic doubles quota for Ukrainian migrant workers

The government of the Czech Republic has adopted new programs to employ foreign workers, giving the largest quotas to Ukrainian nationals, the government’s press service reported on August 26.

Previously, the country could hire 19.6 thousand Ukrainian nationals, but now this quota has doubled up to 40 thousand people.

According to a report of the Ukrainian Center for Economic Strategy published in April 2018, Ukraine is among the top ten global donors of migrant workers.

The estimated number of Ukrainian migrant workers is 4 million people; 16% of the Ukrainian working population have chosen to work abroad.
