US TV host calls out colleagues on spinning out feverish Russian conspiracy theories

28.07.2019, New York.

MSNBC’s hosts and commentators exploit Russian conspiracy theories for the sake of ratings, ex-host of the TV-channel Krystal Ball said on July 27, RT reports.

Ball noted that her criticism is not aimed at particular members of the channel’s staff, many of whom she knows and some of whom have become her close friends in 5 years of working together. “But nearly all of them got swept up in the rating bubbles” of “feverish Russian conspiracy theories,” stressed the ex-MSNBC host.

On July 24,  hearings took place in the US Congress with former special counsel Robert Mueller, who investigated the so-called “Russian interference” in the 2016 US presidential election.

During an MSNBC broadcast about the hearings, the channel’s host hinted at Mueller’s insincerity and claimed the need of testimony of his team members.

US President Donald Trump called the hearings an “embarrassment” to the nation.
