Israel fears Russian-made S-400 purchased by Turkey

18.07.2019, Tel Aviv.

The S-400 air defense systems purchased by Turkey will threaten the Israeli Air Force, the breakingdefense portal reported on July 17.

According to experts who did not wish to be identified, the deal between Russia and Turkey will form “a new order” in the Middle East airspace in any event. However, if Turkey deploys the S-400s near the Syrian border, this will pose an additional threat to the operations of the Israeli Air Force in this country’s airspace.

The situation will become most tense, according to the experts, if the Russian army leaves Syria. In this case, they believe, the situation can become critical.

Also, the experts believe that Turkey’s purchase of the Russian air defense systems complicates its relations with NATO, and it is a slap in the face to the USA.

As the Rossa Primavera News Agency reported previously, the Russian-made S-400 air defense systems are already being supplied to Turkey. The USA continues to be strongly against this deal, and it believes that the deal undermines NATO security.
