Normandy Four approves prisoners exchange between Russia and Ukraine

The representatives of the Normandy Four came to an agreement on the exchange of the detained citizens of Russia and Ukraine, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Ukraine Vadim Pristayko said on July 16, RT reports.

According to Pristayko, the sides agreed to exchange a fixed number of “our prisoners” according to the formula “10 for 10, 15 for 15” proposed by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

The Deputy also noted that the Ukrainian side’s goal is to return their people and to resume the all for all exchange process, which is currently suspended.

The Advisors of the Normandy Four leaders had a meeting in Paris on July 12.

Citizens detained for various reasons are kept in Russia and Ukraine. For example, the Editor-in-Chief of RIA Novosti Ukraine Kirill Vyshinsky is detained under treason charges in Ukraine.

In Russia, the Ukrainian navy officers who made the provocation in the Strait of Kerch are detained.
