State Duma believes MH17 “investigation” will fail as Mueller report did

19.06.2019, Moscow.

The Joint Investigation Team investigating the MH17 crash in Ukraine has permanently discredited itself, the Vice Chairman of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy wrote on his Facebook page on June 19.

“The ‘investigation’ is based on dubious publications in social media. No single piece of evidence or fact. None at all! Even the most obvious thing, the recordings from the ‘black box’, are not included,” Tolstoy said.

Publishing investigation results of this quality is “a shame and disgrace,” he added.

“Today, the investigation team has permanently discredited itself. How will they look in the eyes of the victims’ family members, who have been waiting five years for actual results and punishment for the actual criminals rather than political statements from these serious people in uniforms?!” the Duma Vice Chairman said.

“Sooner or later, this whole ‘investigation’ will fall to pieces as the high-profile Special Attorney Robert Mueller’s report did,” Tolstoy concluded.

Previously, the Joint Investigation Team alleged that three Russian nationals and one Ukrainian national were suspected of involvement in the Boeing-777 MH17 crash over the Donetsk People’s Republic in 2014.
