Syrian opposition militants are preparing another chemical weapons provocation, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria reports on May 17 on its website.
The information came from residents of the Serakab settlement. According to them, Jabhat al-Nusra (organization banned in Russia) militants are preparing to stage a provocation involving the use of toxic substances and Russian aviation munition fragments, which were delivered from other regions of Syria especially for this purpose.
The goal of a provocation is to blame the Russian Aerospace Forces for attacking civilians with “chemical weapons”.
The information has been confirmed with other sources, noted the Center for Reconciliation.
It should be noted that staged videos, allegedly confirming the use of chemical weapons by pro-government Syrian troops against the civilian population, became the militants’ “trademark”. Russian authorities and experts have repeatedly provided information exposing these false flags.
In the meantime, even American journalists noted that the videos are staged. Nevertheless, the Western coalition led by the US constantly refers to the staged use of chemical weapons as “facts”. On April 14, 2018, this was the reason for launching a missile attack on Syria.

The “novelty” of the new planned provocation is that this time it is aimed directly against the Russian army. It is noteworthy that everyone at the expert level understands the absurdity of such accusations and the use of chemical weapons in modern realities. Nevertheless, even such obviously absurd accusations can find their “listeners” in the so-called post-truth era, when the effect of how information is presented is more powerful than the fact itself.
