Idlib University employee Batul al-Jundi accused the Minister of Justice of the so-called Syrian Salvation Government Ibrahim Shasho of torturing prisoners, a source of the Rossa Primavera News Agency in Syria reported on April 13.

The “Salvation Government” is associated with the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham (organization banned in Russia).

In addition, the source reported that 10 women were arrested by the Syrian Democratic Forces after an escape attempt from Al-Hawl camp.

The Al-Hawl camp in southeastern Hasakah is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces, which is an alliance of armed opposition forces in Syria.

Since the beginning of December 2018, according to the World Health Organization, 106 people, most of whom were newborns, died on the way to the Al-Hawl Syrian refugee camp or shortly after arriving. The main causes of death were hypothermia, dehydration, pneumonia, or complications associated with malnutrition.

About 65 thousand people currently live in the camp.
