New facts of Ukraine’s involvement in Boeing MH17 catastrophe emerge

26.03.2019, Moscow.

High-ranking Ukrainian officials are responsible for hiding facts of Ukrainian involvement in the Boeing MH17 catastrophe, former Ukrainian Security Service (Ukrainian: SBU) official Vasily Prozorov said at a press conference on March 25.

According to the former SBU official, Valery Kondratyuk and Vasily Burba hid facts proving Ukraine’s involvement in the tragedy. Valery Kondratyuk is now Deputy Director of the Executive Office of the President, and Vasily Burba is Director of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

Prozorov drew journalists’ attention to the unnaturally prompt reaction of the presidential press service to reports of the tragedy. He believes that these reports had been prepared in advance, and this is why they reacted so quickly.

On July 17, 2014, a Boeing-777 airliner belonging to Malaysia Airlines crashed in the eastern part of the Donetsk region, killing 298 people.

In May 2018, the joint investigation team of the Netherlands and Austria blamed the Boeing crash on Russia in its report, alleging that the missile that shot the flight down was brought from a military unit near Kursk (Russia).

On September 17, 2018 in Moscow, a briefing of the Russian Defense Ministry took place, where it was demonstrated that every missile manufactured at Russian plants had a unique number. The missile that shot the МН17 flight down was manufactured in the USSR in 1986 and supplied to Ukraine, to military unit 20152. After the disintegration of the USSR this military unit became part of the Ukrainian army.
