The Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire in Donbass 15 times in the past 24 hours, the DPR Chief representative at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov reported on March 2.
“The Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire 15 times over the last 24 hours. Overall, it used 122 rounds of ammunition,” said Yakubov.
The Donetsk airport, the village of Alexandrovka as well as suburbs of Donetsk came under fire. The Ukrainian military also shelled the village of Gorlovka and other nearby populated areas (Golmovsky, the mines of Izotov, Shirokya Balka), Yasinovataya, the village of Vasilievka, Krutaya Balka, Sakhanka.
The shelling was performed using 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, APC and infantry fighting vehicle weapons, grenade launchers and small arms, including those of large caliber. On March 1, a civilian woman (born in 1946) was killed in Gorlovka as the result of a shelling by the Ukrainian military.
The ceasefire between Donetsk and Kiev has been regularly violated by the Ukrainian party. It is the DPR’s civilian population that primarily falls victim to Ukrainian military shelling.
