In 2019, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s funding will be increased by 18.5 percent, RT reports on December 11.

Almost 3 million dollars will be allocated for the armed forces’ day to day operations, training, medical support for personnel, military veterans, and members of their families, as well as war veterans.

In addition, over $600,000 will be spent on development, procurement, modernization, and repair of weaponry, military equipment, facilities, and equipment.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that in the first six months of 2018 about 11,000 officers and contract servicemen left the Ukrainian army due to the insufficient funding.
