Gryzlov: Martial law in Ukraine will worsen the humanitarian situation

05.12.2018, Moscow.

The implementation of martial law in Ukraine will negatively affect the Minsk process, Boris Gryzlov, plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation in the Contact Group on Ukraine said, Regnum reports.

“The pre-election martial law declared by the Ukrainian authorities is a negative factor for the Minsk process. The official Kiev’s actions make the situation more dangerous for Donbass residents and aggravate the humanitarian situation as well,” Boris Gryzlov said.

The politician also expressed surprise over the actions of some OSCE representatives. According to him, some of them tried to go beyond their powers and offered issues for discussion having no relation to the internal Ukrainian conflict.

On November 26, Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko imposed a 30-day martial law in 10 regions of Ukraine.
