Putin to discuss military cooperation with Cuban leader

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Chairman of the State Council and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez on November 2, TASS reports.

According to Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the President of Russia, the two countries’ leaders will exchange views on global and regional issues. Peskov noted that the military-technical cooperation issues to be discussed and increased partnership activity between the two countries are not related to the deterioration of Russian-NATO relations.

During his visit, the Cuban leader will speak with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill.
