The French Communist Party in its address of September 4, which was published at the pcf.fr web site, expressed its support and condolences to the people of Donbass after the assassination of A. Zakharchenko.
The address condemns the cowardly act of terror. The authors call for uniting efforts against fascism.
The French communists call the international community to express its solidarity with the communists and all the people of Donbass by condemning the assassination of the DPR leader and recognizing the DPR people’s right to defend themselves against the Kiev authorities. The letter expressed support to the Donbass people in their rightful cause.
The authors demanded that the countries that signed the Minsk agreements, including French ex-Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, must force Kiev to implements these agreements. The communists called for a political resolution of “this terrible conflict.”
Over 100 French intellectuals and political activists signed the address.
On August 31, the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic Aleksandr Zakharchenko was killed by a terrorist attack. According to the former DPR Minister of State Security Andrey Pinchuk, the leader of the Ukrainian junta Pyotr Poroshenko was the one who ordered to assassinate Zakharchenko.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the assassination aimed to undermine the Minsk agreements. Noteworthy, officials of the countries that signed the Minsk agreements showed no reaction to the actions committed by the terrorist state, as if a political assassination were norm to them; however, they expressed a groundless “hope for the implementation of the Minsk agreements.” In response, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that talking about Minsk agreements is blasphemous in these circumstances.
Previously, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, urged the Russian authorities to respond to this challenge and officially recognize the DPR and the LPR.
