Local families have begun to return to the Syrian villages of Barika and Bir Ajam, Quneitra, a Syrian source of Rossa Primavera News Agency reported on August 16.
With the first residents returning, made possible by the withdrawal of the terrorist groups, the province of Quneitra has become a full-fledged province controlled by the government of the Syrian Republic. Previously, local residents only returned to their homes in cities, but it has now become possible for villagers can return as well.
In recent days, a major portion of militants from the terrorist groups has been turning in their weapons and leaving the provinces of Deraa and al-Quneitra, according to the agreement with the Syrian government forces. In addition to small arms and grenade launchers, the militants are surrendering heavy weapons and armored vehicles.
