22.07.2018, Deir ez-Zor.

The US-led coalition airstrikes targeted Syrian civilians in the village of Susa located to the south-east of Deir ez-Zor, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports on July 22.

According to the news agency SANA, dozens of families fled from the village of Susa in order to save themselves from the coalition’s raids. However, while leaving their destroyed homes civilians became victims of the strikes. It is reported that many people were killed and injured, although precise information has not been provided yet. The population of the village fled from the bombing as well as from ISIL (organization banned in Russia) terrorists stationed there.

The US-led international coalition operates in Syria illegally. Its presence is neither sanctioned by the UN Security Council nor by the Syrian authorities.

The Syrian Latakia province has already hosted approximately one million refugees from other regions of the country, hospitals and schools are operating for them there. The Russian Khmeimim Air Base is also located in Latakia.
