Ukrainian army fires at OSCE convoy near Donetsk water filtration plant

31.05.2018, Moscow.

A Ukrainian army militant fired at a convoy of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a DPR representative said on May 31, RIA Novosti reports.

The DPR representative said, in particular, that the cars, which were moving from Yasinovataya towards the Donetsk water filtration plant, came under precision fire from a soldier, who had come out of a trench shelter at the western side of the road. No victims or damage of equipment are reported.

The Donetsk water filtration plant has been regularly shelled by the Ukrainian side despite the fact that it supplies water to towns and villages at both sides of the contact line. The water filtration plant operates under close daily monitoring by the OSCE.
