A veteran of the combat operations near Debaltsevo, Sergey Katkov (callsign Katok), arrived for treatment at the Russian Eye and Plastic Surgery Center, a correspondent of the Rossa Primavera Information Agency reported on April 3.
A tank crew member of the Lugansk People’s Republic militia and a hero of the combat operations near Debaltsevo in January and February 2015, Sergey Katkov, together with his comrade Roman (callsign Terrikon) arrived for further treatment at the Alloplant center.
Answering a Rossa Primavera Information Agency correspondent’s question about his health and treatment plans, he said that he is preparing for his third eye surgery.
“I began to see some light after two operations in Muldashev’s (Alloplant General Director ― Rossa Primavera Information Agency) clinic, and before that I could only see darkness,” Sergey Katkov said.
According to the veteran, his general health is fine.
“My leg is aching a little. In the summer of 2017, I underwent surgery in Moscow. The leg has not completely healed yet. It bothers me; I have to use a cane. This is the second time that Roman is accompanying me. He joined the militia in 2014, and he suffered a gun-shot wound the same year,” the tank crew member said.
When the Rossa Primavera Information Agency correspondent asked him about his health, Terrikon said that his old wound still bothers him, and he needs rehabilitation. He said that in the summer of 2017, he received treatment in Moscow, where he underwent an examination.
“The doctors said that it was too late for an operation, and that I need a course in a rehabilitation center with special training equipment to restore the function of my leg,” Terrikon said.
In January and February 2015, after the Donetsk airport came under the control of the DPR army, the DPR and LPR army encircled Kiev junta’s forces near Debaltsevo. As a result of the combat, the city of Debaltsevo and the Debaltsevo-Lugansk railroad came completely under DPR and LPR control.
