Kurds gather into guerrilla units against Turks in Afrin

Turkish army in the North of Syria will be countered with guerrilla warfare tactics, Kurdish People’s Protection Units (known as YPG) command said on March 18, Firat news agency reports.

The fighters have retained their potential and are organizing armed resistance to the invaders everywhere, according to the message.

Earlier, the invasion of Turkish army forces alongside the Free Syrian Army have forced the YPG units to leave the administrative center of the city of Afrin, which is located 65 km away from Aleppo. The joint operation of these forces against the Kurds was executed since January 20, 2018. 289 people, including more than 40 children, became victims of Turkish fire and air strikes, according to Firat news agency.
